May 4th is Star Wars Day!
A lasting memory of my teenages years was seeing Princess Leia in one of the Star Wars movies hanging out with Jabba the Hutt dressed as a slave girl – complete with metal bikini.

It seems other people share this same interest – one even created a website exclusively devoted to the slave outfit called Leia’s Metal Bikini.
It got me to thinking… and so of course I googled it and crikey! The results were… diverse… and perhaps a little perverse…

Yeah… okay so one of them isn’t Princess Leia but it does appeal to me. Odd. Very odd. Almost as much as this clip where some artists have engineered a full on pillow fight of a group of girls costumed up… for artistic purposes.

took the day off and wandered around my flat in my metal underwear and quoted star wars dialogue to myself… NOT!
Love Star Wars but not as much as Star Trek and certainly not as much as Lord of the Rings. I guess this means I need to get out more. Still – what fabulous themes for a gala dinner or conference… one ring to rule them all as we go were no man has gone before because the force in this one is strong… okay I am going out tonight. Needs to be done.
