Star Performers Shine Brightest
Sometimes the most unlikely stars are not those standing front and centre with the top billing but rather those toiling away in the background with great joyful conviction and gusto. It’s all about a positive attitude and being in the ‘now’… oh and being a tad shameless can’t help.
We came across this clip from the Today’s Big Thing and thought you might really enjoy it just as much as we did and do.
The clip presents a television performance by a South Korean lounge band – and everyone seems to be on the same safe and dull ‘musical page’ until you notice the drummer in the background. He is having a a ‘wow’ of a time…
A star performer will always shine no matter where he or she sits within the ‘band’.

this guy is whack! I love him… as I was watching it I was amazed that the singer and other musos managed to solider on and not be put off by his manic style… perhaps he owns or managed the band?
it’s guys like this drummer who really make an evening and for all those professional bands working the corporate circuit with a music book full of covers, they should take note and bring some stage personality to their performances – this is what the audience and the organizers want otherwise they’d cue the iPod corporate event playlist and save some $.
